Title: [Effects of nifedipine and riodipine on biochemical processes in intact erythrocytes]. Author: Tirzite DIa, Tirzit GD, Dubur GIa. Journal: Biull Eksp Biol Med; 1990 Oct; 110(10):379-81. PubMed ID: 2279087. Abstract: Cardiovascular drugs nifedipine and riodipine (1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives) were studied as to their effect on some biochemical characteristics of erythrocytes. Both compounds failed to effect 2,3-diphosphoglycerate concentration in intact erythrocytes, but slightly decreased the level of adenosinetriphosphate. The drugs inhibited the process of acid hemolysis, this inhibition being particularly manifest in the case of nifedipine.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
