Abstract: Botulism is a severe neuroparalytic disease caused by the neurotoxins of Clostridium botulinum which exert their effects on peripheral nerve junctions. Guillain-Barre syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, acute Poliomyelitis and diphtheria must be considered in the differential diagnosis.
