  • Title: [Isolation of ALteromonas putrefaciens from secondary-recovery water in the petroleum industry].
    Author: Pucci OH.
Journal: Rev Argent Microbiol; 1990; 22(2):68-72. PubMed ID: 2287714.
    Abstract:
Eight strains obtained from injection water for secondary recovery of oil were isolated and characterized as alteromonas. This species has been reported in a relatively great number in the system, after its treatment with cresylic acid (used as antibacterial agent). It has the property of forming important viscous sediments which are related to biofouling of the injection system.
