Abstract: UNLABELLED: The objective of the present study was to obtain new data of practical significance from the comparative analysis of the anatomical structure of the tympanic cavity in newborn infants and young children. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 23 and 24 temporal bone macropreparations obtained from the newborn infants and young children (between 1 to 3 years of age) respectively were available for the examination that included sequential dissection, measurement, and macrophotographing of the specimens.
