Title: Primary sutureless repair and anterior translocation of the atrial septum for cardiac total anomalous pulmonary venous connection. Author: Matsuhisa H, Oshima Y, Maruo A, Hasegawa T, Tanaka A, Noda R. Journal: Ann Thorac Surg; 2013 Feb; 95(2):729-30. PubMed ID: 23336897. Abstract: The incidence of pulmonary vein stenosis after correction of a cardiac total anomalous pulmonary venous connection in neonates may be underestimated because of the small population of patients; however, it is associated with significant mortality and morbidity. This report describes a primary sutureless repair and anterior translocation of the atrial septum to create a large left atrial cavity and avoid post-repair pulmonary vein stenosis.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
