Title: Divergence limits within the field of vergence limits. Author: Sheni DD. Journal: Optom Vis Sci; 1990 Feb; 67(2):94-9. PubMed ID: 2336262. Abstract: The field of vergence limits has been defined as the binocular field of fixation that allows for a specified amount of vergence eye movements at its limits. Within this field, divergence amplitudes were measured in primary, secondary, and tertiary positions of gaze. Six subjects participated. It was found that divergence limits vary minimally with change in direction of gaze. The maximum amplitude of divergence was found 20 degrees below the primary straight ahead position.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
