Title: [The local use of clofelin in the combined treatment of patients with periodontosis and hypertension]. Author: Zanozdra LN. Journal: Vrach Delo; 1990 Feb; (2):13-5. PubMed ID: 2339540. Abstract: Patients suffering of parodontosis and hypertensive disease (stage II) revealed an increase of the microcirculatory blood vessels of the periodontal tissues and correspondingly a deterioration of circulation in the region of the microcirculatory bed, a reduction of the stability of microcirculatory blood vessels of the periodontal tissues. After a single use of a 0.25% clophelin solution in the form of applications the pathologically elevated arterial pressure decreased and the tone of the periodontal tissue vessels reduced as well, the rheographic index increased, the stability of blood vessels of the microcirculatory bed increased. The author recommends the use of hypotensive agents in the complex treatment of changes of the periodontal tissues in patients with hypertensive disease.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
