Abstract: The selective trifluoromethylation of aryl- and vinylboronic acids proceeds smoothly with CF3SO2Na (Langlois reagent) in the presence of copper catalysts and t-BuOOH. Therefore, the method relies both on transition metal catalysis and selective radical reactions.
