  • Title: [A trial of detecting acid phosphatase by cytochemical methods for assessing the functional status of the leukocytes in discoid lupus erythematosus].
    Author: Goncharenko TS.
Journal: Vestn Dermatol Venerol; 1990; (2):44-6. PubMed ID: 2343668.
    Abstract:
Cytochemical examinations of the activity of the lymphocyte and neutrophil acid phosphatase (AP), a lysosomal marker enzyme, was carried out in patients with discoid lupus erythematosus to assess the function of the cellular lysosomal system. The lymphocytic and neutrophilic AP activities were found reduced both at the expense of reduced number of reacting cells and of the enzyme level in these formed elements.
