PubMed ID: 23521413. Abstract: Neuroendocrine tumors of the larynx are rarely seen neoplasms. Atypical carcinoid tumor is the most common type of the neuroendocrine tumors of the larynx, whereas the typical carcinoid tumor is the most infrequent type. Preferable treatment in typical carcinoid tumor is particularly conservative surgery without neck dissection. Radio-chemotherapy is ineffective.
