    Abstract:
    Two cases of pulmonary carcinoids of totally different clinical presentation are shown. In the first case the carcinoid was diagnosed in a girl with recurrent plueropneumonias in the second it was found during screen radiological examination. The first case was treated surgically with a 3 year follow up free of disease. The second case despite aggressive chemotherapy died after 7 months from time of diagnosis. The clinical presentation of both cases proves that there are two types of this tumor--typical and atypical.
