    Abstract:
The Kasabach-Merritt Syndrome (KMS) is rare in adults and may present as an emergency in female in the child bearing age because of the attendant blood loss that can be life threatening. A case of KMS in a 25 year old female African is described. Her past medical history, laboratory findings and management are presented. The findings in this case are found to be in common with those in published cases. That this patient could have benefited from an early surgical intervention is our conclusion.
