Title: [Early results with Zespol osteosyntheses of the leg]. Author: Schöffauer T, Senst W, Zeumer B. Journal: Beitr Orthop Traumatol; 1990 Jan; 37(1):22-7. PubMed ID: 2357203. Abstract: First experiences with the Polish osteosynthesis method "ZESPOL" are reported. Considering 28 osteosyntheses this method proved a success under selected indications. For the treatment of tibial shaft fractures the assembling in the sense of a monofixing agent is efficient. Besides a high but not rigid stability, minimum impairment, a limited but multilateral applicable apparatus and simple operating technique the high variability in consequense of external, subcutaneous and paraosseous placement possibility has to be mentioned.
