Title: [Evaluating the thermographic image of the oculo-orbital area]. Author: Pintér L. Journal: Klin Monbl Augenheilkd; 1990 May; 196(5):402-4. PubMed ID: 2366485. Abstract: Thermographic detection of spontaneous infrared irradiation of the human body furnishes useful information on the surface temperature of the eye and the periorbital region. Familiarity with normal thermograms of this region facilitates diagnosis of pathologic processes on the basis of hyperthermic and hypothermic zones and disturbances of bilateral thermal patterns. Knowledge of the thermographic images of some physiological and artificial conditions may assist in the evaluation of actual cases. This simple, no-contact, noninvasive method represents a useful supplementary examination for resolving problems in differential diagnosis.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
