    Abstract:
    The article deals with the problems of possible rational utilization of paramedical personnel in prophylactic medical examination oriented ultimately towards the quality of patients' health. The findings of the study of the organizational forms of the prophylactic medical examination in 244 urban polyclinics of the republic determine the broad programme of medical nurses participation in this process. Recommendations envisaging the maximum possible participation of paramedical personnel in the process permit to reconsider their functional duties and intensify the organization of their labour.
