Abstract: The bone loss due to space flight or prolonged bed rest observes early stage of unloading and causes both decreased bone formation and increased bone resorption. Mechanical unloading induced not only both tarbecular and cortical bone loss but also greater decline bone structure in weight-bearing bone.
