Abstract: The objective of the present study was to elucidate the peculiarities of the assessment of harm to human health from maxillofacial and neck injuries accompanied by the infectious process. The case report described in this paper demonstrates that the unfavourable outcome of an injury is not infrequently attributable to the inadequacy and drawbacks of the existing schemes for the provision of medical aid.
