Abstract: Cancer care is one of the most complex, multi-disciplinary, and data-intensive undertakings in all of medicine, which makes it particularly well suited for the application of electronic patient record systems (EPRs) [1]. To assist with a programme of research to establish oncologists' perspectives on the requirements and benefits of EPR systems, a conceptual model for Comprehensive, Integrated, Customised Electronic Record systems for Oncology ("CICERO") is proposed.
