Abstract: Hepatitis represents a serious complication in the transfusion of blood and blood products. In examining patients from the haemophilia centre in Jena HBsAg was identified in no case, HBsAK, however, in 80% of them. The rate of hepatitis infection increased here with the increasing frequency of transfusion.
