Title: Influence of anaesthetics on the fibrinolytic activity in minipigs. Author: Klöcking HP, Sedlarik K. Journal: Folia Haematol Int Mag Klin Morphol Blutforsch; 1988; 115(1-2):132-5. PubMed ID: 2459007. Abstract: The activator of the fibrinolytic system measured in minipigs may be profoundly influenced by ether and halothane. Hexobarbital anaesthesia is recommended for studies where effects of fibrinolysis have to be measured. "Fibrinolytic shutdown" during anaesthesia may be prevented by prophylactic administration of a plasminogen activator releasing agent (pentosan polysulphate).[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
