    Abstract:
The question as to the prognosis of severity of motor and psychic disturbances in children with perinatally damaged brains is the issue of interest for their parents during the first months of the patients' life, and of the great medico-social value. Retrospective analysis of peculiarities of the patients psychic and neurologic development allowed identification of some prognostic criteria which displayed a certain degree of reliability as the early predictors of further development of a child. These criteria could be derived from the indices of mental development and EEG findings at the early months of a child's life.
