    Author: Ogura K, Fukuyama T, Nakagawa K.
Journal: Clin Ther; 1988; 10 Spec No():20-1. PubMed ID: 2466568.
    Abstract:
The effect of warm irrigating fluid on hypothermia and blood loss during and after transurethral prostatectomy was studied. Sixty-two patients received warm irrigating fluid (37 degrees C), and 46 patients received irrigating fluid at operating room temperature. The incidence of shivering was lower in the warmed-fluid group than in the controls, and blood loss was significantly lower in the warmed-fluid group.
