Abstract: Ileal ureter is a suitable treatment option for patients with long ureteral strictures. Minimally invasive techniques have been shown to be as safe as open technique and superior in terms of postoperative recovery. We report the first case of laparoscopic totally intracorporeal replacement of ureter using whole-mount ileum in a patient with right-sided long ureteral stricture. The operative time was 150 minutes, and there were no complications. We have demonstrated the safety and feasibility of laparoscopic intracorporeal ileal ureter with possible advantage of shorter operative time compared with the robotic-assisted technique reported recently.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
