    Abstract:
    We report our first eight cases of Nd-YAG laser therapy for exophytic rectal lesions. A colostomy could thus be avoided in 8 elderly patients. There was no mortality and a low morbidity. We conclude that Nd-YAG photoablation of rectal exophytic lesions is a safe and efficient palliative procedure.
