Abstract: Novel porous ZnO/ZnFe2O4/C octahedra with hollow interiors are fabricated by a facile self-sacrificing template method involving the refluxing synthesis of hollow, metal-organic framework octahedra in solution and subsequent thermal annealing in N2 .
