PubMed ID: 2522939. Abstract: Optic nerve glioma in patients with neurofibromatosis is a relatively benign neoplasm. It is slow growing and considered by some to be a hamartoma. Clinical presentation usually includes loss of vision and gradual, painless proptosis.
