Abstract: A patient with true allergic contact dermatitis produced by gold is described. A lady suffered of a contact allergic vesiculous dermatitis in the proximal root of a finger provoked by her wedding ring, and also when worked in a metal factory touching all kinds of metals, including gold, an acute vesiculous eczema of hands and fingers appeared, promoting the study in our Service. For our knowledge this is the first well documented case of allergic contact dermatitis described in Spain.
