Title: Reimbursement decisions for hospital services: the case of psychiatric units under Medicare. Author: Freiman MP. Journal: Inquiry; 1989; 26(3):399-405. PubMed ID: 2529217. I find empirical evidence that the decision to seek an exemption is affected by a complex set of financial considerations. These results indicate the importance of exemption options in an increasingly competitive market for specialized hospital services.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
