Title: Peripheral blood mononuclear leukocyte cyclic adenosine monophosphate specific phosphodiesterase activity in childhood atopic dermatitis. Author: Coulson IH, Duncan SN, Holden CA. Journal: Br J Dermatol; 1989 May; 120(5):607-12. PubMed ID: 2547417. Abstract: Significantly elevated activity of peripheral blood mononuclear cell cAMP specific phosphodiesterase (PDE) activity has been previously reported in adults with atopic dermatitis and in the cord blood of children born to atopic parents. We have been unable to confirm such a significant elevation in children with atopic dermatitis, and we have not found any correlation with dermatitis severity, age or total serum IgE.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
