    Abstract:
    The carotid-cavernous fistula is a well-known clinical entity in which the internal carotid artery ruptures within the cavernous sinus. There is a lesser known but similar clinical entity known as the dural arteriovenous malformation which represents rupture of one of the smaller branches of the internal carotid artery within the cavernous sinus. This paper represents the clinical presentation of one such case of dural arteriovenous malformation and subsequent discussion.
