Title: Diagnostic features of cardiac cavernous hemangioma in the right ventricle on magnetic resonance imaging. Author: Domoto S, Kimura F, Uwabe K, Koike H, Tabata M, Iguchi A, Niinami H. Journal: Gen Thorac Cardiovasc Surg; 2017 Jan; 65(1):40-43. PubMed ID: 26084423. Abstract: Cardiac tumors are rare; however, with recent advances in imaging techniques, they are being diagnosed more frequently with cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging. We report a case of a cardiac cavernous hemangioma in the right ventricle. This case was diagnosed with CMR imaging based on the characteristic features of peripheral nodular contrast enhancement and progressive centripetal fill-in. CMR imaging also provided useful preoperative anatomical information, showing the relationships among the tumor, tricuspid valve, and right ventricular anterior wall.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
