    Abstract:
    The possibility was studied of using the native beta-adrenoblocking agent anaprilin for prolonged control of the level of portal hypertension in liver cirrhosis. It was established that anaprilin (dose: 40 mg daily) reduces the level of portal hypertension and increases the efficacy of treatment of liver cirrhosis associated with ascites and esophageal-gastric bleeding. A therapeutic effect was achieved in most patients (67 of 75).
