Abstract: To restore the function of the esophagus and stomach after chemical burns, in the clinic for 30 years, a method of colonic esophagoplasty has been employed. The experience with treatment of 354 patients permits the authors to consider the given method an optimal. Improvement of a procedure permitted to reduce the number of complications to 11%, mortality--to 2%.
