  • Title: Ambulatory ECG monitors.
Journal: Health Devices; 1989 Sep; 18(9):295-321. PubMed ID: 2628411.
    Abstract:
We evaluated five AECG (Holter) monitors from five manufacturers, basing our ratings primarily on the systems' ability to provide accurate ECG analyses and comprehensive reports. We also assessed additional features and capabilities, such as enhanced data analysis and reporting flexibility. The three retrospective analysis systems are rated Acceptable, and the two real-time systems are rated Conditionally Acceptable on the condition that they are purchased with full-disclosure (FD) report options. See the Discussion section for a detailed comparison of real-time and retrospective systems and a discussion of other use and purchasing considerations.
