Title: Novel Papillomaviral Sequence Detected within Epidermal Plaques in a Wolf (Canis lupus). Author: Rothenburger JL, Myers S, Lockerbie B, Wobeser B. Journal: J Wildl Dis; 2016 Jan; 52(1):177-9. PubMed ID: 26540181. Abstract: We describe numerous pale plaques affecting the inguinal skin of a grey wolf (Canis lupus). Histologically, these were consistent with papillomaviral plaques. Immunohistochemistry confirmed papillomavirus antigens, and partial sequencing of the L1 gene suggests this is a novel papillomavirus most-closely related to Canis familiaris Papillomavirus 5.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
