    Campylobacter pylori has been associated with chronic gastritis type B and gastric and duodenal peptic ulcer. Among the numerous works published in recent years, we intend to briefly review the principal characteristics of this association: microbiological characteristics of C. pylori and pathogenic aspects that can be implicated in the pathophysiology of the entities mentioned, i.e., biochemical factors, adherence, invasiveness, immunology, toxins.
