Abstract: The Yemen Arab Republic is situated in the southwest of the Arabian peninsula. From the malariological point of view it belongs to the Ethiopian area. Malaria is one of the most common diseases in the YAR. Malaria cases in the country are registered all over the year. The main disease vectors are An. arabiensis, An. sergenti, An. culicifacies. Falciparum malaria cases are much more frequent than those of 3- and 4-days malaria. The number of registered malaria cases increases annually.
