Abstract: Secondary use of structured nursing routine data receives an increasing attention in healthcare and is supposed to bear huge potential for different purposes. However, building and analyzing such integrated nursing routine data repositories are nontrivial, challenging tasks. The workshop gives an insight in the state of the art of secondary data analysis in nursing and addresses possible opportunities as well as the main challenges when re-using nursing data for secondary analyses.
