Abstract: The purpose of this panel was to demonstrate an approach to collaborative working within nursing and health informatics. The panel took as an example an initiative to harmonise between two large-scale terminologies, namely the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP) and SNOMED Clinical Terms (SNOMED CT). A number of practical topics were framed within a context of collaboration, including semi-automated and manual approaches to mapping, consensus working, clinical validation, formal concept modelling, etc. Those attending the panel, nurses and informatics professional alike, came away with an increased understanding of a range of approaches to collaborative working within nursing and health informatics.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
