Title: [Subscleral cyclovitreotomy in glaucoma]. Author: Sergienko NM, Korenevich NI, Novak LP. Journal: Vestn Oftalmol; 1989; 105(3):3-4. PubMed ID: 2749967. Abstract: The authors analyze the results of 52 surgeries for simplified subscleral cyclovitreotomy in patients with secondary glaucomas and organic changes of the anterior chamber corner (leukoma adherens, neovascularization, multiple fistulization surgeries). A characteristic feature of the surgical technique is anterior hyaloid membrane dissection, and not anterior vitrectomy. Its advantages are simplicity and the minimal traumatism. Expulsive hemorrhage has occurred in only one case with a terminal painful glaucoma. In the rest both surgery and the postoperative period have been uncomplicated and areactive. Ophthalmic tone compensation for up to 2 yrs has been achieved in 80.9% of cases.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
