PubMed ID: 2750375. Abstract: A total of 200 patients with discogenic lumbosacral radiculoischemias were investigated and treated. The radiculoischemia was most common in the 5th lumbar radiculus with less frequent involvement of the 1st sacral radiculus. The isolate affliction of the latter was seldom. This is the first experience of treating these patients with manual therapy and postisometric myorelaxation. Besides, the therapy comprised a number of other interventions: drugs (vasodilators, anticholinesterase, dehydrating, group B vitamins), balneo- and fangotherapy, electrostimulation using "Myoton-2" device.
