  • Title: Multiple cranial nerve palsies as a presenting symptom in primary Sjögren's syndrome.
    Author: Phanthumchinda K.
Journal: J Med Assoc Thai; 1989 May; 72(5):291-4. PubMed ID: 2769125.
    Abstract:
A 28-year-old woman who presented with multiple cranial nerve palsies was eventually proven, pathologically, to be a case of primary Sjögren's syndrome. The presence of this syndrome was not initially suspected until the onset of its neurological manifestation. The paucity of sicca syndrome can cause a delay and/or over looking in such a diagnosis. Therapeutic response to corticosteroids was rather impressive in this particular case.
