  • Title: Drug-induced anticentromere antibody?
    Author: Haberhauer G, Bröll H.
    Journal: Z Rheumatol; 1989; 48(2):99-100. PubMed ID: 2786663.
    Abstract:
Anticentromere antibody (ACA) was previously described as a serological marker for CREST, progressive systemic sclerosis (PSS), Raynaud's syndrome (RS) and primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC). We have observed ACA appearing and disappearing during D-penicillamine (DPA) treatment in six patients without any features of CREST, PSS, RS, PBC or related syndromes. ACA also could be DPA-induced.
