Title: A case of Maffucci's syndrome (dyschondroplasia with multiple hemangioma). Author: Sutthipisal N, Nitidandhaprabhas P. Journal: J Med Assoc Thai; 1989 Jul; 72(7):404-7. PubMed ID: 2794825. Abstract: The case of a 37-year-old Thai male patient with multiple hemangiomata-Maffucci's syndrome-recently came under our observation. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of Maffucci's syndrome reported in Thailand. The anomaly was first noticed on his right hand at the age of three years. The typical bunch of grape-like lesions on the palm was seen. The degree of dysplasia in this patient was so mild that there was no fracture complication. Despite the deformity, the patient lived a reasonably normal life. Periodic follow-up of the patient was advised because of the significant incidence of associated malignancy.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
