    Abstract:
    This paper presents data on vestibular responses of healthy test subjects, aged 18 to 33 years, to active and passive orthostatic loads. Standing and tilting orthostatic tests led to a decline of vestibular activity caused by decreases in cerebral and labyrinthine blood flow as well as somatic and visceral afferentation that converged on the vestibular centers of stem bulbar formations and supratentorial vestibular structures.
