Title: [Clinical characteristics of the erosive-ulcerative form of lichen ruber planus of the oral mucosa]. Author: Mashkilleĭson AL, Abramova EI, Abuduev NK. Journal: Vestn Dermatol Venerol; 1989; (8):29-31. PubMed ID: 2816027. Abstract: Analysis of 650 case histories with the erosive ulcerative lichen ruber planus has revealed the specific features of the course of this condition: subjects aged 40-70 (90.5%) women more often than men (64%), suffer from this disease. Solitary foci (in 84%) are usually localized on the buccal mucosa. Concomitant diseases are very often: gastrointestinal conditions in 51% of patients, dental abnormalities in 34%. The disease should be differentiated from erosive leukoplakia, exfoliative cheilitis, etc. Tigason therapy has been found the most effective for this condition.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
