Author: Wang X, Huang D, Huang X, Zhang J, Ran Y, Lou X, Gui Q, Yu S. Journal: J Neuroimmunol; 2017 Apr 15; 305():68-71. PubMed ID: 28284348. Abstract: Chronic lymphocytic inflammation with pontine perivascular enhancement responsive to steroid (CLIPPERS) was first described in 2010. The characteristic clinical picture, radiological distribution and steroid response have been well-described in previous reports. However, the underlying pathogenesis and nosological position of CLIPPERS in the CNS require further investigation for the primary CNS lymphoma have been identified by autopsy subsequently. Here, we report a 51-year-old woman who was diagnosed with CLIPPERS but progressed to primary CNS lymphomatoid granulomatosis, which supports that CLIPPERS is not just an inflammatory CNS disorder.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
