    Clinical and x-ray criteria for bone tumors should be analyzed very carefully. It is demonstrated that especially periosteal reactions are nor characteristic of any specific tumor but only of a certain type of stimulus upon the periost, which may be provoked by different agents such as tumor, pus, subperiosteal hematoma and others.
