  • Title: [Otogenic complications with a normal, intact tympanic membrane].
    Author: von Scheel J.
Journal: Laryngorhinootologie; 1989 Jan; 68(1):78-80. PubMed ID: 2915593.
    Abstract:
Complications originating from the petrous bone may occur in the absence of any tympanic membrane pathology. This is known from a couple of cases in the literature and is underlined by two own case reports. Today, computed tomography and/or magnetic resonance imaging play a major role in the diagnosis of such rare but dangerous diseases.
