Abstract: The possible role of nutritional disturbances in the biochemical pathology of the alcohol-induced liver injury is briefly discussed. Nutritional factors could influence a number of hepatotoxic effects of ethanol and it is therefore suggested that, although ethanol itself is capable of causing almost all its hepatotoxic effects, the possible contribution of any associated nutritional disturbances to liver injury in chronic alcoholism deserves careful consideration.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
